We're off to Sulgrave Manor, in south-west Northants, near to the Oxfordshire border. The house dates back to about 1500 and at one time was owned by the Washington family that was later to emigrate to America and give the US its first president. Admission is £6.25 adult and £3 child (5-16 years).

This is the annual Hertford, Harlow and Stevenage Country Bus Rally, when vintage ex-London Transport and London Country buses operate during the day on many routes in the area. A small group of us regularly attend ballroom dancing lessons at Memorial Hall in Chilwell from 8.30-9.30 pm on Thursdays.
